HOW DO I KNOW IF I AM DRINKING TOO MUCH ALCOHOL?
If you do any of the following:
- You believe you should reduce your alcohol consumption
- Your drinking has drawn criticism from others
- You feel bad or guilty about your drinking
- You require a drink in the morning to calm your nerves or recover from your hangover.
If any of the following apply to someone you know, they may be misusing alcohol:
- They frequently consume more than 14 units of alcohol per week, and because of their excessive drinking
- They occasionally forget what happened the night before
- They fail to fulfil their obligations as a result of their drinking (for instance, by skipping work or an appointment because they're inebriated or hungover)
